Megan And Megan Adventures

Megan and I started our trip out by filling up the tank. We reached the bridge and totally forgot that we needed $4.00 to cross it. After begging the man to let us go through he did but we promised we would come back and pay him. We took the first exit which was in a total CSI crime scene waiting to happen. There were no gas stations. Thank heavens for the GPS who led us to the nearest station that was more than 6 miles away or something like that. We got $10.00 after begging the people to give us cash back. Going back over the bridge and paying the man insured blessings for the rest of the day to come.

I feel asleep for a nap. When I woke up I looked over at Megan and it looked like she was going to cry she needed to pee so badly. To our dismay we were also fresh out of gas. The light was on and the nearest gas station was 20 miles away. We hoped that we would make it. We didn't. The car started jerking and wouldn't go faster. After we pulled over to the right side of the road the car came to a full stop. We were 9 miles from Lovelock. Megan still had to pee. She gave me all her AAA info and went to the side of my door to take care of business. Of course the spot we stopped at was flatter than a kitchen table. There was no where for her to hide except the protection of the car.
I am on the phone with AAA and I look over to my right too see Megan rip off her pants. She puts them on the top of the car and squats down. I am dying of laughter and trying to sound serious on the phone with AAA. Next thing I know Megan is knocking on my window. She peed all over her shoes and since the wind was so strong, it blew pee all over her legs too. There was an old towel in the car she used to clean off her legs. Above is a picture of her pee covered shoes. I gave her the phone to talk to AAA because I didn't know the answers to some of their questions. After she hung up with them 5 minutes later the AAA truck showed up and gave us 5 gallons of gas.

As we were driving to the nearest gas station, we concluded that we had been blessed for being honest in our dealings because we only waited 5 minutes in the middle of Nevada for AAA! I doubt that ever happens. Megan also told me that after she noticed that she was peeing all over her leg she stood up to freak out a little and 5 cars saw her naked bottom frontal half. Haha.

First we went to USU in Logan to visit Amelia. After we stayed the night there we went down to Provo and Orem. We split up. She went to classes and I went to play. I had lunch with my cousin Jamie and then Carson picked me up. After having some down time with Carson we meet up with Charles.

The next day I got to sleep in and the first thing I did after bumming around for awhile was Megan picked me up and we went to go see Sister Hamilton. We read a bunch of Elder Hamilton's emails and caught up for awhile.

That night I went crazy on visiting people. I started with Jennifer Hansen and then took her all over the place with me to visit with a whole bunch of people. I saw Sarah.

I saw Julianne. Jen came with me to meet up with her at a recording studio. It was really the basement of some guy's house. He was really nice.

He also could play the saw. I have never met someone who could do that. It makes really eerie sounds.

While we were walking home I called Carson. He was supposed to pick us up on the side of the road while we were walking back to Jen's house but we got their too quickly. He was super fun to play with. Megan also met up with us at Jen's place.

Before we knew it we were on the way home again. This is my favorite point of interest on the way home or to Utah.

We got attacked by killer tumbleweeds. There was a lot of them and they just kept coming.

Megan and I wanted to stop by the Reno Temple. We typed in the address into the GPS and first got a random building. Then we typed the address in again and got this blue house

We tried one more time to find the Reno temple and I believe the 3rd time was a charm in this case. We got to the very windy Reno temple, ran around it and then headed back home.

It was a really fun/short trip. I am so glad I went.

Midnight Haircuts

I chopped off my bangs. Haha. I hope your were not expecting more than that. I have been wanting to go back to straight across for a long time now. Tonight was the night. Tomorrow I will retouch them up and make them perfect. Swoopy to straight to swoopy to straight and back and forth. I think my hair grows a little too fast sometimes.

Tomorrow Kaleigh and I will also hopefully rebleach sections of my hair and maybe a section in my bangs. We will have to see oh everything pans out.

Teacher Appreciation Dinner

I was asked to take pictures at the primary activity. I used Taleah and Erina and my test dummies.

While at the dinner, I saw about 3 teachers I knew from my good old days at Country Lane. Wow, it has been a really long time since I have be going to that school. A lot of them were baffled to know that I was twenty and have been going to college for a while.

That is the whole primary. It is a lot smaller than when I went.

I think that the teachers and the kids had a really great time. I took about 200 pictures of the whole event. Today I willing gave the pictures to the Priamry President and now they are in her hands.

Everyone needs loving

I love the mail. I love everything about it. I love seeing the postman coming. I love the excitment of never knowing what is going to be in that magical black box.

I wanted to the postman to know that he brightens my day.

This is a closer one for you to see what I wrote.

I hope he really read it and did not think that it was just a postcard.

If you are wondering who the letter is for under the note; I have a cousin I love serving a mission in Ukraine. I thought that he needed some loving too.

Hiking

After the fireside on Sunday, Melody came up to Kaleigh, Hannah and I to ask us to go on a hike with her and some of the other people in the ward.

We raced up the mountain to reach the place we would hike from in hopes to see the sunset on the city. The hike was about a mile and a half. As soon as the cars were parked people started to dash down the pathway. We made it just in time. Above is the view we saw at the top.

Since Kaleigh and I were not expecting this random hike we were still in church clothes. Luckily, I changed into my uggs and we both had put leggings on. The rest of the group climbed up the rocks and watched the sunset from there and we climbed around the left side towards the front.

The trail we wanted to go on was closed and we had to jump over or squeeze through the gate. It was super fun. I loved that the whole thing was so random.

On the way up and the way home we were praying that the car would not run out of gas. For some reason it looked like the little arrow didn't even move. Blessed? Yes.

I love my YSA ward.

The engagement page is finished!

This is what it looks like:

Yup, I love this page. It turned out so well. The rest of the notebook is just as lush.

That is all for now.

Ryan and RosaLee

Ryan and RosaLee asked me to take their engagement pictures. These are some of my favorites. We were out and about in the cold all day long but I really think we got some gems out of the bunch.

I thought you might like to see these.

It is coming along!

Kaleigh caught me notebooking which isn't very hard because I am constantly in my room these days trying to finish it before I go to school. It is coming along so nicely. I am so excited to pass it back to Bailey. It is going to be a really sad day when I run out of pictures to put on the empty pages.

Notebooking

Bailey gave me a notebook for my 18th birthday. Little did we know that this classic school notebook would become so epic. On every page of the notebook we scrapbook our lives and inside jokes. Bailey and I have completed 2 notebooks already and have begun the 3rd.

I dropped the ball on these notebooks when I started college and so it has been a few years.

I would like everyone to know that I have started up the long and wonderful process of making the Bailey/ Megan Notebook. The High School Musical Notebook is the newest addition. I sorted the pictures into 10 different piles.

After the 10 piles, I further sorted the pictures into smaller piles and put them into ziplocks.

So far I have 5 pages done. I love working on the notebooks.

Goodbye Nick... Round Two

Nick and I already said our goodbyes. We found out that we were not going to be able to hangout before he got set apart.

Kaleigh begged me to take her to FHE at the temple and I did. In all honesty I really did not want to go. Once we got there they were talking about how to put the kits together and how to tie to blankets we are sending to Salt Lake. We got there late and the only spots to sit were in the back. They released us to go find a table and I see Mr. Nick Perona himself coming my way.

He is so flirty. I love him.

I am sad to see him go but he is going to do great things in Argentina. I can't believe that we have only known each other for a little more than a year and became so close so fast. What a blessing.

BTW: The Oakland Temple is where we first met and became friends. Ironic.

Cleaning Up the Clutter

We have a family friend who is a messy lady. That is okay though because we love her other wise. She asked Kaleigh and I to come over and help her clean. I took some before and after pictures. Enjoy.

Before:

After:

There is still a lot to clean but after 5 hours this is what we got done. I think we took about 12 large black bags of trash out to the dumpsters. The lesson I learned was I never want to be a messy person.

Happy Saint Patrick's Day

Since Saint Patrick's Day is coming up, my mother and I found another excuse to send out missionary packages. There was not a section of Saint Patrick's Day stuff at the dollar store so we walked up and down every isle looking for green stuff.

This is what we found: soap, silly string, water balloons, gum, mints, candy, a bag, and a cleaner thing. It is so random but I love it. I hope they do too.

I got all that stuff to cram into a small flat rate box from the Post Office. I love that place. In total we are sending 8 packages. Out of the 8 packages, 5 are going to Texas.

This is what they looked like after they were all decorated in Saint Patrick's Day fashion.

My mother and I also bought extra stuff to make a Saint Patrick's Day basket for the missionaries that serve in our ward. The day we wanted to bring them the basket was of course transfers and we got two new elders. Trying to find them and get ahold of them was quite the task but we did. I am thinking that they are going to do great things for our ward.

Happy Birthday Mom!

Kaleigh and I stayed up until the wee hours of the night putting up balloons and going to the store. This is what she got to wake up to in the morning. Kaleigh also made a poster but I went to bed before she put it up.

Disney on Ice

We went to Disney on Ice as a family because of Erina's Girl Scout Troop. We got their eairly so Erina and Taleah could play the games Girls Scout of North Califorina put together in the lower part of the Shark Tank. After the games, we headed up the stairs to where the Princesses were waiting for us. We got to see Princess Tiana and Cinderella.

The show was going to start soon. I got to sit by Erina and Kaleigh.

The show was awesome. They showed parts of Cars, Little Mermaid, Lion King and the new Tinkerbell movie.

Here is one of the many pictures taken. This is "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" from Lion King. After it was over we stayed for the after show where they showed us more cool tricks and some of the actors.

Toodles Nickie Poo

I just went to Nick Perona's farewell talk on Sunday. I swear almost every girl in the pews were there for him. He is such a little love boat.

He will be a great missionary. It is always sad to see your friends go but you always know they are going to be out doing the right thing. Hopefully I will get to play with him one more time before he leaves. He is just so wonderful.
