27 Dresses

This weekend I felt like I was the girl in 27 Dresses. Two of my really good friends got married. I was so lucky because they are both from New York but married in the Salt Lake City Temple a day apart from each other.

Because I was a bridesmaid for Brittany I could only go to Nicole's luncheon at the Lion House on Temple Square. She looked so lovely and happy. During the luncheon there was a little program. Her sisters sang a song, family members talked about how much they love Nicole and Juston and a slideshow.

I am so happy for her. She sure did snatch a catch.

After the luncheon I got picked up by Kelsey and Vernie.

We went back to the hotel that Ben got for us and started to get ready for the night of events to go to. I was lacking a present for Brittany. We made a quick trip to Kmart to run into Ben and Brittany. They were there to get wedding night things and it was so awkward, to say the least. We avoided them the whole time by sitting in the lawn chair section until we were sure they were gone.

We checked out our stuff and left. Soon after that we got ready for the rehersal dinner. Olive Garden is always so yummy. Brittany's dad was so nice and picked up the tab for Vern, Kels and I. The whole dinner we were antsy to steal away Brittany for a night of adventures and fun.

The dinner finally ended when Ben's aunt played the bridal march on here harmonica in the middle of the resturant. Haha. We ran out of Olive Garden to Kel's car and met up with Nasty and Kailee. We had a quick gift giving and got ready to hit the town.

Of course it was high school night at Studio 600 and they would let us in but they also closed in 10 minutes after we got there. The people there told us about another club. We got there and since none of us were 21 they would not let us in. We had to resort into going to Dennys. We still had a lot of fun together.

The next morning we woke up to a landry list of things to do from Brittany. We got everything done, got ready and headed towards the JSMB. We scrambled to get as much set up there before and get dressed before we had to run over to the temple for when they came out and for pictures. Don't worry, we made it in record time.

Brett was outside the temple waiting for me. He was such a great date.

They came out of the temple, we took pictures with the rowdy groomsmen and then headed back to the JSMB to set up the rest of the stuff. It didn't take very long to get everything put together.

While everyone was finding their seats the bridal party was figuring out how to do a ring ceremony. It took a while but we finally figured it out. The ceremony was going great and almost over until one of Brittany's sisters who was a bridesmaid fainted. She went down for the count. It wasn't funny at the time but now it is. She turned out to be okay. We all think she locked her knees or something.

The reception pressed on. We ate a lot of really yummy food and danced our hearts out.

Before we knew it, the reception was almost over and she was throwing the flowers. I totally caught them. It ended with Black Eyed Peas singing "I Gotta Feeling." They are going to be so happy together and I so glad I was totally a huge part of why they are together to this day.

That weekend was so epic. I love weddings.

General Conference

Hahaha.

Kaleigh and I went out

... And took pictures again.

These are some of my favorites.

I didn't edit them at all. I just got too lazy. This place has become one of my favorite places to take pictures of all time.

The Stake Youth Play

During the nights this week I was engulfed into helping with the stake youth play. I was mostly just there for hair. I got to curl to 12 year old's hair.

This is Hannah. She played one of the lead girls named Wendy March.

I forgot to take a before picture but this is Elaine. She played a little girl who hurt her knee and ate 2 pennies.

I am glad I helped and I am glad it is over.

Oh, The Possibilities.

Soul Sista Sims

She just reached the magical age of 20!

To celebrate we went to the Outback Steak House. All I have to say is:
"Watch out world Brittany is coming!"

A Calendar

I sent Kevin's mom a calendar that I made this week. I really liked how it turned out and I really hope that she does too. I haven't heard back from her yet. It starts on his 1/2 mark and ends the last month he is in the feild.

This is what it looks like. My mom printed the calendar part out for me. I just took some 8 by 8 scrapbook paper and went crazy. I love that you can go to Kinkos or a store like that and get things bound. I was very happy with the end product. April is spelt wrong both times but I changed it before I mailed it.

I really hope she liked it.

Easter Packages

Another holiday has come: Easter! My mother and I are always looking for another excuse to send missionaries a package.

These are the goodies that we crammed into the small flat rate boxes.

I had to use my puzzle skills to fit everything together and we are just hoping that the tape will also keep the packages sealed tight. I want to wish the missionaries good luck on opening them because there is sure to be an explosion.
