Happy Birthday Kev!

Soon it will be my best friend's birthday. He is turning the ripe age of 20! He is on a mission so he won't see this but I sent him a letter and a package so he knows that I love him. That is for sure.

This is the cute kid. He cracks me up.

His name would be Elder Kevin Gregory Forsell.

He is serving in Dallas, Texas right now. Those people are so lucky to have him.

I want to tell you 5 things that I love about him. Here they are:
1. He is such a good example to everyone and anyone.
2. He talks to me for hours and hours on the phone when he is not serving the Lord because he really cares about people.
3. I can always count on him to send me a letter every Friday or Saturday and it is always the highlight of my week.
4. He loves his family but mostly his lovely sisters.
5. He makes me a better person and want to be a better person.

This kid is a blessed son of God and everyone that meets him is so lucky. I sure do miss him but I know that he is in the right place.

I love him so much!

My Valentines

This year I had a lot of Valentines. I loved it except for the part that they are all on missions. This is what my family put together to send them.

This is just the start. The items that went inside the boxes are on the side in the many bags.

Look at how full of love those boxes are! It just makes me so happy.

Here are all the boxes sealed and ready to go to the post office. I love the post office. We drew all over the boxes. Every single one was different except this one side always kind of looked similar. We made wanted to make sure they knew these were Valentine packages and so we told them that they couldn't open them until the day before Valentines Day.

It was totally worth it to send all those packages when I got their replies. I realize that they are on missions and have no money so they were all really cute notes. My favorite note ended like this:

"I love you, Valentine!"

It made my heart melt. You can most likely guess who said that. These Elders and so cute and I love every single one of them. I am so lucky to have such awesome guy friends and Valentines.

"Megan, I have nothing to do."

I swear these are the words that come out of Kaleigh every time she opens her mouth. She is always telling me how lame her life is and how there is nothing to do and how I need to be her "social director" as my mom would say. One day I said to Kaleigh, "Change your pants(she was in PJs) lets drive towards the green hills and have a Kaleigh/ Megan photo shoot!" She did not like this idea but I made her do it anyway. These are some of our favorites.

As you can tell, we never made it to the lush green hills. That is okay because we found some places closer to home that were quite beautiful. I also nearly killed us as I started to drive up Boulder Creek. I will publicly say that, I am not the best driver. I am pretty sure that Kaleigh is totally going to be down the next time I have an idea like this because she loved it.

I am totally the best big sister ever! Or at least that is what I tell myself.

Just my luck.

Mr. Rogers died and I got another betta to replace him and he also died today. This is me trying to be sad but really we are all laughing because it is just my luck that my fish would die so quickly.

My mom says that the glass turtle that Elder Attwood gave me is killing the fish. I think she might be right.

I never was a Girl Scout

My parents never let me be a girl scout when younger but in all honesty I doubt that I ever asked. Yesterday, I totally filled my need to be a girl scout. My mother and I sorted out $1000.00 worth of girl scout cookies and started to deliver them with Erina and Taleah. I definatly got asked if I was Erina's mom. "Hahaha. No, I am not her mom. She's my sister."

Here are the cookies all organized into piles like: Dad's work, Church, Leads Club, etc.

Some people just paid for the cookies and then gave them back to us because they did not want them. Basically, we are going to have girl scout cookies at my house year round. Just call up my mom if you are wanting some. Erina is also going to sell cookies outside different stores. If you really want to know when or where, facebook me.

It is a jungle out there..

We have a lot of weeds in our backyard. They are tall enough it is a like a jungle for the little girls.

No joke, I am standing in that last picture. Soon the weeds will tower above my head. I think it might be time to chop them all down. It was fun to play in them. Today I also walked around our whole neighborhood. It is really small, it took me less than 30 minutes to go around the whole thing. Next time I will have to venture out and maybe over the overpass. We will see what the future brings.

Taleah just told me that, "soon is a LONG time." haha.

A Little Missionary Writing

So, I went away for a week and came back to a plethora of mail and packages. I love that when I am home that nothing comes and then as soon as I leave things come by the bundles. Today I have a goal to write back all these missionaries in a sincere manner. I hope it gets done. The thought of all these letters is a little overwhelming but I am going to do it. I sure love the Lord's servants.
